Hug Your Pillow
I think that the most neglected relationship is your relationship with yourself. Let that sink in... you have a relationship with yourself! And it is the most long term relationship there is! So why do most of us forget to take care of ourselves?
I have a bad habit of this. Thinking unkind thoughts like "you're so fat", or beating myself up for making a mistake, or having a drink instead of dealing with my feelings.
In today's world of fast food, Netflix and high speed life, it is so easy to eat junk, sit on the couch all night and just do the bare minimum to get by. But this kind of life has left me feeling unsatisfied, like... there just has to be something more!
Well I am on a journey. A journey of self-improvement and self-love! I started this business (Matching Freckles) last year in an effort to replace my "9 to 5" job. There has been a lot to learn! And it is still a work in progress, but it feels good to be working towards something bigger.
Recently I started a new meal plan also! And am working on making a habit of working out regularly. I'm not happy at my current size and am taking steps to lose some weight.
Mental health is also important! I have struggled with depression most of my life and learning to not let your brain just sink into that dark hole is always a work in progress.
An easy physical action you can take to love yourself, is to hug your pillow. Think of it as you are hugging yourself. Squeeze all that love into yourself! This is one of my things I do, especially if my hubby isn't home. It just makes me feel better.
